COMMISSION
People are welcome to approach us with there design or concept for a sculpture. We will work together with you through the design process. There are no rules when it comes to size ,large or small. Representing many artists here at friendly art gives us the ability to have many different styles of sculptures, from contemporary to traditional ,
WORKSHOPS
This is a great way to get started into the world of sculpture , generally we run weekend workshops on demand with small groups from around 6 to 8 people .These courses require no carving experience and offer a chance to get creative and have a fun weekend. We supply:
* One tutor per 4 students * 1 Block Oamaru stone Approx 50 kgs * All carving tools * Water proof silent sand paper * Morning and afternoon tea “yum yum”
PLACEMENT
Often when people purchase a larger sculpture they may require some help with the placement of their piece .Because of the weight of the stone or sometimes a difficult site where the sculpture is to be placed . We have had a lot of experience in the placement of large sculpture, this service is priced depending on the size of the sculpture and the distance we must travel .
GROUP VISITS
Since opening our sculpture park we have had many art groups, gardening clubs photographers and tour groups ,really any group interested in sculpture and art will enjoy the ambiance of our park and gallery. During your visit we will explain about Oamaru stone ,the tools and technic we use and a general insight into the world of sculpture here at friendly art Bookings are a must for this type of visit .
